Manchester United Are Set To complete £54million signing of Superstar

According to media reports, Premier League giants Manchester United are seriously considering a possible £54million swoop for Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane during the summer transfer window.

Diario Gol, as cited by The Sun, is claiming that United are closely keeping tabs on the Frenchman with the Spanish La Liga giants set to offload the centre-half.

The same report states that the Champions League holders are set to listen to approaches of about £54million to fund Zinedine Zidane’s reinforcement of his squad.

As per the same report, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has completely run out of patience with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

The former Real Madrid boss brought in Sweden international Victor Lindelof in a £30million transfer deal from Portuguese outfit Benfica last summer window.

The Manchester United tactician signed the France international defender from under the nose of former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2011 when the Portuguese was in charge of La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The defender moved to Real from French Ligue 1 club Lens back in 2011 after establishing a great reputation.

The Manchester United transfer target has won two Spanish La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League crowns and two Copa del Rey trophies at the Spanish Capital club.

Varane has netted 10 goals in 219 matches in all competitions over the last seven seasons at The Santiago Bernabeu.
