Manchester United Midfielder Set To Reject Move To France To Remain In Premiership

Reports claim that Manchester United midfield star Memphis Depay is attracting interest from French club Olympique Marseille. There is an offer on the table for the midfielder from French club but it is believed that Depay is not interested in making the move to France as he prefers to remain in England and join another premiership club during the January transfer window.

Depay has made only one start this season which came in a win at Northampton in the EFL cup where he was taken off early in the second half. This season Depay has not made a start in a premier league match and has found it hard to play a major part in the team since the arrival of Jose Mourinho in  summer.

He had been advised by his former coach Dick Advocaat to leave the club after missing out in the squad that lost to Fenerbahce in the Europa league and was not part of the United’s team that defeated Swansea 3-1 on Sunday.

Reports from French publication Le 10 Sport, stated that after the takeover by Frank Mccourt the American businessman, Marseille are keen on having Depay but could find it difficult to bring him from Old Trafford because of his wage demands which will be hard for the French club to match.

Though Depay may have the desire to remain in the premier league he may find it difficult to get a club willing to have him with his high wages and could be frustrated if he wants to move from Manchester United during the January window.
