According to reports, Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal has asked to be allowed to leave the Chile National team camp for 24 hours amid latest claims of a transfer offer from Manchester City.

The 28-year-old is believed to be the subject of a whopping offer from Pep Guardiola’s team, who are thought to be offering England International Raheem Sterling to the gunners as a part exchange for a deal after chasing him all summer.

Initial reports have claimed that the versatile player himself is keen on moving the Etihad, as he is looking forward to reuniting with his former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.

European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been strongly linked with the Chilean, with Arsene Wenger insisting continually that he South American would not be sold.

The Arsenal manager has stated clearly that he is set to lose him for free next summer despite huge-money bids this year, though it remains to be known if Manchester City’s latest offer including England International Raheem Sterling could be enough to convince Arsenal.

The South American himself may be glad that something is finally happening, with TV13 reporting he’s asked for permission to leave the Chile camp to conduct some personal transactions.

The Gunners have suffered a disappointing start to the Premier League season, with a poor opening day victory over Leicester City followed by a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City and a 4-0 whitewash at the hands of Liverpool last Sunday.
