Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny had a bad moment on Sunday in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham. Koscielny was responsible for Totteham’s equalizer after he brought down Mousa Dembele for a penalty that was slotted home by Harry Kane. Arsenal had taken the lead through an own goal by Kevin Wimmer before having to settle for a draw. The result left Arsenal in fourth place on the premiership table two points off leaders Liverpool.
Despite conceding the penalty, Koscielny has been in great form this season helping the team on a good run since losing their first match against Liverpool.
Away from the match the Frenchman was asked about his future at the club. Sportwitness reports that Koscielny spoke to Telefoot about his future at the club and revealed that Arsenal is happy with his performances at the club and he sees no reason why he should leave.
He said:”My future? I work really well at the club, and they are also happy with my work so I don’t see why there would be a reason to leave. Desire to travel? It is always possible, but at the moment I haven’t bought a plane ticket.”
A few weeks ago Koscielny had been linked to a move to Germany to join Bayern Munich but those rumors seem to have been put to rest as the French international seems settled at the Emirates.
With Koscielny forming a good partnership with new recruit Mustafi, it is highly unlikely that manager Arsene Wenger will be in hurry to sell the defender.
