Manchester United currently have some ‘professional’ left-backs like Luke Shaw and Ashley Young. We all know they are simply not enough.
Luke Shaw keeps struggling for regular playing time and he’s not able to convince manager Jose Mourinho. This season so far, the former Southampton player has been able to play just 16 games in a Man United shirt, and it appears all is not well between him and his manager.
Ashley Young, on the other hand, has been impressive with the role (despite that he was deployed to that position by Mourinho). However, apart from the fact that the role is an unnatural one for him, the Englishman is not getting younger and is approaching his retirement stage.
Manchester United therefore need to bring in a permanent solution once and for all, and they must take advantage of the upcoming window to get that done.
And according to reports, Jose Mourinho wants Alex at Old Trafford this summer, although they might need to cough out some whopping £70 Million.
