According to reports, Chelsea have received good transfer news as the West London side have been handed a major boost in their chase of Juventus star Alex Sandro.
There’s no doubt that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte needs to sign another left-back or possibly wing-back, as although Spaniard Marcos Alonso showed the Blues a reminder of his top quality this weekend with his free-kick goal versus Southampton, he can’t be expected to keep playing at that high level throughout the so many competitions.
Brazil international defender Alex Sandro, 26, has already played 24 matches in all competitions this season, rarely not playing for an entire 90 minutes, and so to prevent seeing the wing back burn out, a winter signing would obviously be a good move to add more competition and a chance for him to relax.
As per The Express, that could happen in the New year as although there look to be a large distance between Juventus’ £70 million asking price of the fullback comparison to the £55million offer believed to have been tabled by the Blues during the summer transfer window, the Turin side are thought to be ready to discuss contract terms in January with the Brazilian superstar not showing intent of renewing his contract.
