According to reports, La Liga giants Real Madrid are considering accepting a bid from Premier League giants Manchester United to permit Raphael Varane a move away from the side this summer.
United table £53million bid for Varane
Manchester United have submitted a £53million offer for the Frenchman in a bid to reinforce their backline, and Florentino Perez, Real Madrid President is tempted to let him leave as he plans to strengthen the defence of his team as well this summer transfer window, as per Don Balon.
The France international defender has been a key regular starter for Real Madrid since 2011/12 season when he broke through under Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho during his time in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the defender arguably has not kicked on enough since then despite playing a big role in winning three UEFA Champions League titles and a Spanish La Liga with Real Madrid in the last four campaigns.
Varane, 25, could now do with leaving to ensure he’s a regular starter and would be a great addition for Manchester United, who have had problems in defence this term.
As per Don Balon, Varane has become Manchester United’s preference over FC Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti, and the same report add that Real Madrid could in fact be glad to offload so they can then land Samuel Umtiti themselves.
