4-2-3-1 Formation, Frenchman Starts In Man United’s Probable Line Vs Chelsea

Manchester United were impressive in their last premier league outing against Sunderland last weekend. However, later in the week in their Europa League encounter with Anderlecht, the Old Trafford club couldn’t get the victory in Belgium.

Mourinho will lead his men to their next premier league encounter, this time against current league leaders Chelsea, on Sunday, at home. Already this season, Chelsea have defeated United twice – in a premier league game and when they met in the FA Cup. We look on for the team that will emerge victors this time around.

And at the moment, as far as Manchester United’s team news is concerned, six United players are out injured already.

Starting from the back, the number one goalie David De Gea is fit and should definitely be between the bars in an important match of that sort.

Embattled star Luke Shaw, has now stepped up in the left back role. And considering his latest performances, he is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup, and should stay in front of De Gea with others like Valencia, Rojo and Bailly.

And going forward, France international Paul Pogba may play in the No.10 position behind Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Armenian international Mkhitaryan and Englishman Jesse Lingard, are expected to start on the flanks.

Here is Man United’s possible 4-2-3-1 starting XI vs Chelsea.

GK – De Gea
DL – Shaw
DC – Rojo
DC – Baily
DR – Valencia
MC – Herrera
DM – Carrick
AL – Mkhitaryan
AC – Pogba
AR – Lingard
FC – Ibrahimovic
