Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has been in the news consistently recently due to his links with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
However, the talented player has admitted he could actually stay with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham this summer and ignore other sides interested in his signature.
Toby has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, and there are some claims that he is keen on a switch to the Theater of Dreams.
The Belgian is being valued at around £50m by those at Old Trafford, but his current side are demanding for £70 Million before he can be released.
The London club had hoped to settle his future before the World Cup starts, but Toby has now dropped some hints that he could actually stay with them for the 2018/19 season.
At Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho is keen on reinforcing his defense department this summer with new legs. Having finalising a deal for Portuguese youngster Diogo Dalot (from FC Porto) few days back, the manager is ready to splash more cash to sign a centre-back.
He is willing to sign a proven defender like Alderweireld, but it appears the player has other plans. The Portuguese tactician might need to look elsewhere, if that is the case.
