Champions League winners Real Madrid are now set for summer business after settling their managerial issues.
The La Liga heavyweights appointed Julen Lopetegui few days ago to take Zinedine Zidane’s place at the Bernabeu, and Marca made it known that the club will now focus on transfer business.
The Spanish club are understood to be keen on signing a new goalkeeper this summer as an upgrade to Keylor Navas, and they have been heavily linked with Manchester United’s David De Gea before now.
De Gea is widely regarded as the best goalie in Europe at the moment, and there are various claims Real Madrid are set to bring him down to the Bernabeu ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
However, according to new reports, the European champions have made the decision to sign Brazilian No. 1 goalkeeper Alisson Becker instead of De Gea.
The South American shot-stopper, who is currently in Russia on international duty with his national side, have been heavily linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for some time now.
The Liverpool boss is very keen to sign a superb goalkeeper to replace Loris Karius between the sticks, Liverpool will do all it takes to get Allison’s signature.
According to the report, Liverpool are ‘very close’ to completing a deal for Allison and are ‘willing’ to pay whatever it takes to sign him.
