Manchester United star player Michael Carrick is very much likely to leave Old Trafford at the end of this season following reports that English clubs including Aston Villa, West Brom and Leicester City are planning to make moves to lure him away from his current side due to his current ordeal at the Manchester club.
The Englishman has endured a frustrating start to the season as he has played just one game so far this term – the League Cup game against Burton Albion, and is now growing displeased with his lack of playing time at the club.
The former England international joined Man United from premier league rivals Tottenham Hotspur back in 2006 for £18million.
He has a successful career at Old Trafford, winning five Premier League titles, three League Cups, the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League at the club.
However, the talented player has recently been sidelined after picking up an injury, and there are suggestions that his final time at Old Trafford could end unpleasantly.
The Mirror made it known that Carrick is not planning to leave the club but is keen for more game time.
It was also added that three English clubs – Aston Villa, West Brom and Leicester City are all monitoring his situation ahead of a move, though it is yet to be known if the red devils will allow hi to leave.
