Panthers 2026 Day 3: A Panic-Inducing Mock Draft

Our expert journalist dives deep into the Panthers' 2026 Day 3 mock draft, predicting every paranoid pick and potential disaster in the final rounds. Who will they botch this year?

Carolina Panthers Day 3 mock draft: Predictions for 2026’s final rounds

My heart’s already doing the Samba from hell just thinking about it. Day 3. The final rounds. The Panthers. Do those three phrases in succession not send shivers down your spine, dear reader? Because for me, it’s less a shiver and more a full-body seizure of existential dread. We’ve probably already botched Days 1 and 2, picking some high-ceiling, low-floor project that’ll be out of the league by 2028, or worse, a punter. And now, the true chaos begins.

This is where careers are made… or, more likely, where our collective hopes for the next three years are silently, brutally suffocated. Is it just me, or is the entire league conspiring against us in these later rounds, subtly pushing inferior talent our way while hoarding the diamonds in the rough? The scouts, bless their cotton socks, are probably still recovering from the Day 2 fiasco, fueled by lukewarm coffee and the desperate hope they can still salvage something. Anything.

Round 5: Pick 142 – Biff “The Wall” Thunderclap, OG, University of North Dakota State of Confusion

Look, we *need* interior offensive line help. We always need interior offensive line help. Biff comes from a program known for… well, playing football, I guess. He’s got that “country strong” vibe, which means he’s probably slow but hits hard. Or maybe he just hits the buffet hard. The whispers say he struggles against speed rushers, which is, you know, every defensive lineman in the NFL. But our scouts probably saw one rep where he pancaked a confused squirrel and thought, “Yep, there’s our guy!” We’ll probably spend two years trying to teach him how to recieve a basic snap, all while he gives up pressures like it’s going out of style. The optimism is already draining from my soul.

Round 6: Pick 178 – Marcus “Shadow” Darkwood, S, University of East Bumblef***

A safety. With a nickname like “Shadow.” Sounds cool, right? That’s what they want you to think! Darkwood apparently has “character concerns” – which, in Panthers’speak, means he probably enjoys a good board game too much, or perhaps, once looked at a coach the wrong way. He’s a ball-hawk, they say, but only when the sun is directly behind him and the opposing quarterback throws directly to him. His tackling technique is described as “aggressive, yet entirely optional.” This is the kind of pick that makes you question why you even bother watching the draft, honestly, what are they thinking, what if he gets injured, what about team chemistry, will he even make the roster, are we just setting ourselves up for failure again?

Round 7: Pick 215 – Roberto “The Boot” Guzman, K, Coastal Carolina Community College of the Arts

A kicker. In the 7th round. I knew it! They always do this! Just when you think they might surprise you, they pull this stunt. Guzman apparently has a “powerful leg” and “can kick it a mile,” but his accuracy is… well, it’s a journey. Every kick is an adventure, a real nail-biter. He missed five extra points last season, but apparently, he hit a 70-yard field goal in practice once while blindfolded. Perfect. This will certainly help our teams chances to win those close games, absolutely no doubt. And then we’ll be glued to the screen, watching the live scores and odds, wondering if any of these guys will actually pan out or if we’re just another season away from utter despair. Send help.
