Manchester United are ready to battle Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Fulham youngster, Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports.

The impressive left-back has been tipped to become one of the best prospects in England due to his promising displays and has attracted interest from a couple of clubs in the Premier League.

Reports in Sky Sports claim that Manchester United are upping their interest in Sessegnon but will have to beat Spurs are believed to have tabled a bid for the youngster.

However, the report also claim that only a crazy bid could force a move for the Fulham leftback, as the Craven Cottage outfit are not ready to allow their talented star leave without a fight.

It is understood that Manchester United are considering to loan the 17-year-old back to Fulham if they complete the deal ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool were said to have enquired about the availability of Sessegnon earlier this summer but were pushed back by Fulham who are reluctant about selling the defender.

There are reports that Jose Mourinho could offload Luke Shaw before the end of the summer window and bring in Spurs left back, Danny Rose with suggestions that the United boss is still unconvinced with about the reliability on Shaw as the season becomes hectic.
