Manchester United showed class after they came from behind to thrash Newcastle United 4-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday in the premier league.
Up next is another Champions League game against Basel, and Jose Mourinho will be leading his men to the game with full confidence following the win against Rafa Benitez’s side.
Man United have already qualified for the knock-out stages after winning their first four games, and in such a case, we can expect Jose to make a handful of changes in the starting XI that faced Newcastle on Saturday.
Frenchman Paul Pogba made his return from his hamstring injury against the Mapgies, and he was quite impressive for his side during the game.
However, we expect the former Juventus midfielder to be rested this week, and Mourinho should make the duo of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini take care of the center of the park.
At the backside, Lindelof and Smalling should take the posts of Bailly and Jones, while Rojo is likely to start on the bench.
In-between the sticks, Romero is likely to replace De Gea, while Rashford should take Lukaku’s place in front of attack.
Here is Manchester United’s likely 4-2-3-1 XI vs Basel.
GK – Romero
DL – Blind
DC – Smalling
DC – Lindelof
DR – Damian
MC – Fellaini
MC – Herrera
AL – Martial
AC – Mkhitaryan
