Monaco star player Thomas Lemar is not part of the party that played against Marseille on Sunday, making it the second game he as missed in a row.

The new development has sparked further rumours Thomas could be getting ready for an exit.

The talented Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Monaco in recent times after emerging as a target for a handful of top clubs across Europe including Liverpool and Arsenal.

The Ligue 1 champions have decided to sell him for a fee in the region of £90 Million and there are rumours Jurgen Klopp is not ready to splash that much for his signature.

The Anfield club appeared to cool their interest in Thomas earlier this January, and Monaco have recently claimed Lemar is injured.

The France international missed the last game against Lyon and was also left out of the squad that clashed with Marseille on Sunday.

The game was a must-win for the French champions – as a full three points can push them to the second spot of the Ligue 1 table – and the proper thing for manager Leonardo Jardim is to make use of his best guys, unfortunately, the game ended 0-0.

Can Klopp Change His Heart?

Liverpool fans will hope Thomas’s absence is an indication he is about leaving the club.

However, manager Jurgen Klopp insisted on Friday that his side are unlikely to buy another player before the closure of the window.

In other words, the fans should hope the German will have a change of heart.
