According to reports, Arsenal are ready to snatch Malcolm away from Man United’s grip and have opened talks with Bordeaux over the player’s signature.
The 44M-rated Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from the French club after he emerged as a target for Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.
The red devils are understood to be interested in signing Malcolm but aren’t delighted with Bordeaux’s asking price of £44m.
Manager Jose Mourinho is keen on adding some spark to his attack and is expected to make a move for the samba star next month.
However, according to new reports, the 20-year-old has caught the attention of Arsenal, and the North Londoners have made a move for the player’s signature.
Arsenal are said to have opened talks with the Ligue 1 club a few days back and, according to goal, are likely to place a bid in January.
Arsenal are ready to sell Alexis Sanchez next month to any club that can pay £35M for his signature, and they will try signing a new replacement before the closure of the window.
However, the report also suggests that the French club would rather hold onto the Brazilian and will prefer selling him hugely next summer. But Bordeaux won’t stand in Malcolm’s way if he tried forcing his way out of the club this January.
