According to reports, Tottenham have submitted an offer in the region of €35million for Bordeaux star player Malcolm, but the London club were rejected instantly by the Ligue 1 side.
Malcolm has been superb at Bordeaux this term, scoring seven times and providing four assists to his teammates, and his impressive performances have caught the attention of a handful of top English clubs including Manchester United.
Mauricio Pochettino is set to take advantage of the upcoming January transfer window to reinforce his squad by signing new players that can help compete with other top sides in Europe.
Tottenham are also linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, though his club insists they won’t sell him in January.
But for Malcolm, there are reports Mauricio has seen an opening offer of €35M rejected by Bordeaux for the 20-year-old, though the Argentine is likely to come back to do all it takes to snatch him away from Man United’s grip.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is also keen on adding more quality to his squad by signing a superb wide player, particularly considering Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s bad form.
Ivan Perisic was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford during the past summer transfer window, but Inter Milan refused to sell him before the closure of the window.
