Man City steal lead from Arsenal in race for £50m rated star

Tanguy Ndombele

Arsenal were reported to be leading in the race for Tanguy Ndombele in this summer before they were overtaken by Manchester City who seems to have gone ahead of the Gunners team.

Reports coming from France reveal that a bid of £50 million was made by Man City for Tanguy Ndombele but it was turned down by Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.

However, the 21-year-old star was brought to the notice of the Etihad team last week when Man City played Lyon at the Etihad Stadium where the visitors took the day with a 2-1 lead.

City saw Tanguy Ndombele as being a very important part of the Lyon team and they wish to have him switch to England any time soon so as to add his quality to the team.

Meanwhile, suggestions are that Tanguy Ndombele will not be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 giants having kept hold of Nabil Fekir in the summer despite strong interest from Liverpool.

For Arsenal, they will have to push harder if they must have Tanguy Ndombele at the Emirates Stadium but notwithstanding, the player has a decision to make in this case and he could decide to make a move to the Gunners where he will be sure of a starting role.
