Serbian international striker Luka Jovic has passed his medicals ahead of the much publicized €60m move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The new development was confirmed by the Los Merengues on Wednesday morning via their official Twitter handle.

The 21-year-old will be unveiled as a Real Madrid player at a small presentation ceremony later on Wednesday as confirmed by the immediate past European champions.

Real Madrid had earlier announced the €60m agreement with German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt for Luka Jovic last week.

Luka Jovic was linked with clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea and Liverpool before the Real Madrid transfer was agreed upon.

He was at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Portuguese champions Benfica for the last two years with an obligation for a permanent transfer this summer for €8m.

Europa League semifinalists Eintracht Frankfurt made the transfer permanent in April before reaching an agreement with Real Madrid for his signing two months later.

Eintracht Frankfurt would be making a profit of €52m on the player though Benfica are entitled to 20% of the deal as part of the deal that made his move to the German club a permanent one.

Luka Jovic became one of the deadliest strikers on the European football scene during his time with Eintracht Frankfurt.

He scored 27 goals in all competitions during the just concluded campaign.
