Mohamed Salah

Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah who has scored 16 goals this season could stop the Reds from winning Premier League glory this season, that’s according to football expert and pundits Andy Gray

The Scottish presenter was furious with the Egyptian’s decision to dive after the slightest touch from Mamadou Sakho during their clash with Crystal Palace last week.

Though the striker went on to score two goals in a game that ended 4-3, the presenter said Salah could make his team fail in their mission to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.

According to him, the referee will stop awarding penalties whenever the player is brought down in the box because they will think he’s a diver.

Gray charged the former Chelsea and Roma striker to be very careful not to create a reputation of a being a diver in referees’ mind so as to continue commanding their trust in subsequent matches.

Meanwhile, the Reds are presently in Dubai where they are having a 10-day vacation as they won’t be in action at the Weekend after crashing out of the FA Cup competition two weeks ago.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were thrashed by Wolves at the fourth round of the competition, meaning they have just Premier League and Champion league trophy to compete for.

“I’ve said before that Mo Salah has got to be careful,”

“He’s too good a player to have the reputation as a diver. But there’s no doubt in my mind that if he continues to go to the ground as easily as he does in the penalty area, referees will stop giving him penalties when he might have deserved a penalty. It might be in the biggest game that they play.” he said
