Portuguese tactician full of praise as key Man United man decides to quit Old Trafford

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho predicted his assistant Rui Faria would become a top coach after the Portuguese decided to leave Old Trafford.

The duo have worked together for 17 years but will part ways at the end of the campaign.

Rui Faria has worked with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United since 2016, having also been a member of his coaching staff at Chelsea as well as at Portuguese giants FC Porto, Serie A side Inter Milan and European champions Real Madrid.

Jose confirmed that for 17 years young farai is now a grown football expert set for a successful career as a coach.

Faria could replace Wenger

Mourinho added he would miss his friend and that is the hardest thing for him to do, but his Faria happiness is more important. He confirmed he respects Faria’s decision, especially because he knows that they will always be together.

The 42-year-old Faria has been named in some media reports as a likely contender to replace the departing French tactician Arsene Wenger as Arsenal boss.

Mourinho said earlier this month that Faria would be a good fit for the Gunners. He promised to help his friend pack and carry his bags when he gets a big job.
