Liverpool target flying to Sydney amid Klopp interest

Liverpool target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has confirmed that he’s flying off to the Australian City of Sydney with his Arsenal team-mates for the club’s pre-season tour of Australia.

The 23-year-old English winger has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the North London club this summer transfer window, with Premier League giant Liverpool and reigning Champions Chelsea believed to be willing to sign him ahead of the 2017/18 Premier League season.

According to reports Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected a significant pay increase at the Emirate Stadium in recent weeks and is determined to see his contract run out at the North London club.

The England International attacker has been on holiday in the America City of Los Angeles this summer but returned to North London to fly out to Australia with the rest of his team-mate this weekend.

The versatile midfielder confirmed on his official Instagram page that he was dreading the long-distance journey to Sydney, Australia.

Chamberlain’s colleagues, including Kieran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Lucas Perez were all missing amid rumours of a transfer away from the Emirate stadium in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Chilean Alexis Sanchez, Shkodran Mustafi, Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers and Rob Holding are also unavailable after busy international schedules over the summer.
