Borussia Dortmund star player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has emerged as a target for a handful of top clubs across Europe this summer including Arsenal, Liverpool, PSG, and AC Milan.
But it appears AC Milan are so desperate to get his signature as, right now, there are reports coming from Italy that the Serie A heavyweights have scheduled a meeting with the player’s team this week.
The Milan club have made a late move for the Gabon international after he appeared to be set for a move to China and all other clubs linked with him seemed destined to miss out on one of the best goalscorers in Europe.
There were speculations that Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian have sealed a deal in the region of £70million for Aubameyang.
And Gianluca Di Marizo.com are reporting that AC Milan have not given up hope that they can snatch the player from the Chinese club’s grip and have scheduled a meeting with his team and his father (who is also his agent).
The Italian club are said to have been rocked by the player’s wage demands and the asking price set by the Bundesliga club but remains confident they can talk down the Gabon international’s agent and convince his club to lower their demands.
The Serie A club are hopeful an agreement could be reached this week should the meeting go in the direction they expect.
