Barcelona Target To Sign New Two-Year Chelsea Contract

Newly crowned Europa League champions Chelsea have concluded plans to hand winger Willian a new two-year deal amidst the transfer rumours involving him and clubs like Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Manchester United.

According to the Daily Star, Willian will sign a new two-year contract to take his time at Chelsea to the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Brazilian international has one year left on his present contract with the Blues.

Chelsea jettisoned the idea of not giving over 30 players more than a one-year contract when defender David Luiz was given a new two-year contract.

Willian turns 31 later this week but that has not stopped Chelsea from handing him a new two-year deal to ward off the interest of other European clubs.

The Brazilian winger has been linked with Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG in recent transfer windows.

Willian is expected to join Callum Hudson-Odoi in signing a new contract.

Young Chelsea winger has also been linked with a move away from the club but the 18-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a new contract worth around £100,000.

Chelsea want to tie down their players to new contract to prevent any major exit apart from Eden Hazard who’s expected to join Real Madrid in the coming days.
