Liverpool star Alberto Moreno is one of the reds players linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, and he actually appeared destined to leave anytime soon.
The player has been linked with Watford, and according to new reports (via the Liverpool Echo), the reds have set the asking price for the defender at £15M.
Despite his challenges at Anfield, the Spanish player is in demand this summer, and it is understood that Jurgen Klopp’s side are open to selling him. And with Watford said to be interested in securing his services, a move for him could become a reality in the near future.
The chances of getting regular game time at Anfield this season is slim with another left-back (Andy Robertson) brought in this summer into Jurgen Klopp’s team from Hull City. He will have to compete with James Milner and the new man Andy in the starting XI.
Nevertheless, Moreno was impressive for Liverpool recently in their preseason training and was amongst Klopp’s team that contributed to the impressive friendlies display. However, a move appears to be the most likely outcome for the player.
Earlier this window, it was reported that the Merseyside club turned down an £11m bid from Serie A side Napoli. This has indicated that they won’t settle for anything less than the £15M already slapped on the player’s head.
