Premier League leaders Liverpool are planning a transfer for one of the best wingers in the Italian Serie A ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from January 1.

Popular English media platform Daily Mirror claim that the Italian international star Lorenzo Insigne is one of the players on the list of transfer targets for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ahead of the January transfer window.
Lorenzo Insigne plays his club football for Champions League campaigners Napoli.

He is said to be a favourite of German goalkeeper tactician Klopp and that the former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund manager could make a move for him in the New Year as he tried to consolidate the Reds position at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool are four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after champions Manchester City’s shock home loss to Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Insigne would be a formidable addition to the already potent forward line at Liverpool.

He has been one of the key performers for Napoli since he made his debut for the team.
Lorenzo Insigne has scored 73 goals and provided 68 assists in 285 appearances for Napoli.

The Italian winger has four years left on his current Napoli contract.
