Alex-oxlade Chamberlain

Jurgen Klopp had to deal with some unwanted injury news in recent weeks but this week it will be different for the German tactician as the long-term injured star is set to return to full fitness.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was injured in April 2018 and has been out of action since then, however, the good news is that the England international is back from injury.

Though it is still early to say if he’s ready for action when they tackle Leicester City on Saturday, his return will surely bring a smile to Klopp’s face.

The Reds have been a depleted side for some weeks due to injuries to key members of the team and that’s somehow telling on their performances in recent games.

Prior to last weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace, the Merseyside club haven’t conceded three goals in a single game.

But the Eagles made them achieve such unwanted feat due to lack of regular defenders who were unavoidably missed during the encounter.

Palace scored three goals but the Reds eventually took the day having found the back of the net on four occasions.

With Oxlade-Chamberlain back into the team, Klopp now have more options at the middle of the pitch and that will help the team in their quest to win first silverware in more than two decades.

The England international joined Liverpool from Arsenal two seasons ago but hasn’t been too superb, no thanks to injuries. England international will hope to return to Klopp’s starting XI as soon as possible.
