Premier League leaders Liverpool will have to contend with the threat of Italian Serie A champions Juventus in their quest to sign highly rated Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali.
The 18-year-old is on the payroll of Italian Serie B side Brescia at the moment.
Sandro Tonali has drawn comparison with Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo with his style of play.
Italian media outlet Calciomercato revealed the interest of the Old Lady in Sandro Tonali.
Brescia owner Massimo Cellino confirmed the interest of five-time European champions Liverpool in his last interview as he said that the Reds had contacted him about the transfer availability of his player.
The Brescia supremo also revealed that Italian capital club AS Roma are also keen to sign the young midfielder rated at £30m.
Sandro Tonali has been in very good form for a Brescia side trying to secure promotion into the Italian top flight via the Serie B at the end of this season.
He has scored two goals and provided five assists in 19 Italian Serie B appearances.
Juventus and Liverpool midfielders have a lot of accomplished players in the middle of the park and Sandro Tonali is a signing for the future if he ends up at either of the two clubs.
