According to reports, PSG have decided to sell Julian Draxler next year, and the premier league duo of Liverpool and Arsenal are battling to get the player’s signature.
The German World Cup winner signed a four-year contract at the Paris club last January, but he has been linked with a move away from the Ligue I heavyweights after a frustrating year at the club.
Unai Emery’s side are under scrutiny to comply with UEFA’s rules in regards to clubs cash flow after spending heavily to sign the duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer. They might now be forced to sell one of their first-team star players during the January transfer window.
And the Daily Mirror made it known that PSG will allow Julian to leave the club and both Liverpool and Arsenal have been alerted to the situation.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a big fan of the Germany international while Arsene Wenger’s side have been keeping tabs on him for a number of years.
The North London club looked into landing a deal last summer for Draxler, but nothing could see the light of the day before the closure of the window. Nevertheless, with the duo of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez looking to leave the club next summer, Wenger is expected to go the extra mile to get Julian.
