Arsenal Assures Everything Is In Control Amidst Transfer Speculation Over Star Duo

Arsenal news over the past week has been dominated by the present contract standoff involving the club’s star duo namely Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez with reports linking the former with a return to Real Madrid amongst other clubs while the 27-year old Chilean forward was linked to English Premier League (EPL) leaders Chelsea and even China with a weekly payment of £400,000 been mooted. To this effect, Arsenal chief David Miles has assured that everything concerning contracts involving Arsenal players is under control.

This was made known by Miles in a chat with BT Sport as he said: “Of course, we know talks are ongoing with certain players and certain contracts.”

“At the moment, things are looking pretty good in that way.” he further added.
The previously mentioned Miles was speaking shortly after he was on hand to witness the Round of 16 draws, which took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday morning.

Arsenal however got the rough end of the draw as they were paired with 5-time European champions and German Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.

Concerning the contract situation involving German playmaker Mesut Ozil and former Barcelona and Udinese star Alexis Sanchez it remains to be seen whether the club will give in to the £290,000 weekly wages they are reportedly asking for in the new contract.
