Merseyside giants Liverpool are reportedly plotting a sizeable bid for FC Porto striker Moussa Marega this summer.
This is according to the publication from media portal Foot Mercato which revealed that the Reds want to sign the Malian international player for €30m.
Moussa Marega was in superb form for FC Porto during the just concluded season and his form has not gone unnoticed amongst the Reds officials.
He scored six goals in nine Champions League games.
Liverpool are one player short in attack after Daniel Sturridge was released earlier this summer.
The England international was released by the newly crowned Champions League winners after the expiration of his contract with the Reds.
He has been a Liverpool player since joining from Premier League rivals Chelsea during the winter transfer window.
Daniel Sturridge was released alongside Spanish left-back Alberto Moreno.
Both players were unused substitutes as Liverpool sealed a first Champions League title in 14 years at the start of the month via a 2-0 win over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Liverpool goals were scored by Mohamed Salah (penalty) and second half substitute Divock Origi.
Moussa Marega will undoubtedly add more firepower to Liverpool’s attack ahead of next season.
The 28-year-old scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 29 league appearances in the last campaign.
