Liverpool Top Target Agrees Pre-contract With Club

According to reports, German star player Leon Goretzka has decided to sign a pre-contract with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.

Leon has been impressive in the Bundesliga in recent times and has caught the attention of a handful of top English clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

He will be out of contract at Schalke next summer, and he is not expected to put pen on paper for a new deal with the German side despite being offered a mouthwatering contract to make him the highest paid player in the club.

Recently, there were speculations his next destination is Liverpool, and that the Anfield club are leading the race for his signature.

However, according to recent claims from Marca, La Liga giants Barcelona have been told that Leon is heading to Bayern Munich at the end of this season.

The 22-year-old won’t be hindered from signing a pre-contract with any club he chose this January, although Schalke could also try selling him before the closure of the window.

But it appears Leon is not ready to move out of his home country yet, and he intends staying in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich next season.

At Liverpool, Emre Can is expected to leave Anfield next summer to Juventus, and the Merseyside club were hopeful Leon could come over to replace Can at the club. However, Liverpool should now begin looking elsewhere.
