Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has questioned the interest of the European champions in one of his former teammates at Chelsea.

The Belgian international shot stopper spoke about Eden Hazard and his potential move to Real Madrid in his post-match thoughts after his side took a major step towards the last eight in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

According to him, Courtois said he’s not sure whether Real Madrid want to sign ex-Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard.

He was reacting to questions from reporters about Eden Hazard and Real Madrid.

Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard are teammates with the Belgian national team.

Both players were at Chelsea until last summer when Courtois left Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid in a deal worth £35m plus Mateo Kovacic who sealed a season-long loan move to the Blues.

Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur revealed earlier this year that Eden Hazard is waiting for a move from Real Madrid and that the Belgian international captain has already rejected two contract offers from Chelsea.

Eden Hazard has less than 18 months left on his current deal with the Blues and Chelsea might be forced to sell him in the summer if he doesn’t sign a contract extension at the club.
