Chelsea are planning a summer move for Ajax Amsterdam forward Hakim Ziyech according to reports coming out of the Italian media.

Italian media outlet Calciomercato claim that the Moroccan international has been added to the Blues’ list of transfer target after the 25-year-old impressed a great deal for Ajax Amsterdam in their unfortunate 2-1 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday night in the Champions League.

Ajax have a mountain to climb in their last 16 ties after the home defeat at the hands of the defending champions.

The second leg takes place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu next month.

Hakim Ziyech has been in very good form for Ajax Amsterdam since he joined the Dutch Eredivisie giants from fellow top flight side FC Twente.

He has scored 50 goals and also provided 25 assists in 113 appearances in all competitions since his move from FC Twente in 2016.

He was recently part of the Morocco squad that failed to progress beyond the group stage of last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

Ziyech has scored 16 goals in addition to 13 assists in 32 games for Ajax in all competitions this season.

He could be a potential replacement for Chelsea star Eden Hazard who has been linked with Real Madrid.
