Wolves Plan £20m Swoop For Liverpool Striker



Newly promoted Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to splash the sum of £20m on Divock Origi in a bid to sign him when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The Wolves side were earlier interested in a move for him during the summer’s transfer window but the transfer didn’t materialise.

The Premier League newcomers have made the signing of a striker their main target ahead of the January transfer window according to the publication from trusted English media platform Daily Mirror.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have really struggled to score goals in the new Premier League season.

Mexican striker Raul Jimenez is the leading goalscorer in the Wolverhampton Wanderers squad this season with just three goals.

With this in mind, the Midlands club has concluded plans to sign a striker in the New Year.

Divock Origi has been on the fringes of the first team since he returned to the team in the summer following his season-long loan spell at German Bundesliga VFL Wolfsburg.

The 23-year-old has scored 21 goals in 78 appearances for the Reds.

Since signing for Liverpool from French Ligue 1 side Lille in 2014, the Belgian international striker has had loan spells at Lille and Wolfsburg.
