Former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out of the upcoming Premier League clash with Watford.
Belgian international De Bruyne plays his club football for Premier League champions Manchester City at the moment.
Kevin De Bruyne sustained a slight hamstring problem during last weekend’s win over Bournemouth and he’s expected to sit out the home clash with the Hornets on Saturday evening.
He was replaced by Riyad Mahrez during the 1-0 win over Bournemouth last week Saturday.
De Bruyne was substituted for Mahrez at the start of the second half as a result of the injury and the Algerian international star went on to score the only goal of the game for Manchester City.
The win was enough to take the Citizens ahead of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table after the Reds could only play a goalless draw at Everton on Sunday.
Manchester City have a one-point lead with nine league games left.
John Stones also went off during the Bournemouth game and he’s also not expected to feature for Manchester City when they host Watford at the Etihad Stadium.
Stones’ centre back partner Aymeric Laporte could, however, return to the team after recovering from an injury that was expected to rule him out for one month.
