According to reports, FC Barcelona are looking to include Frenchman Ousmane Dembele as a part of any move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, in a transfer blow to Premier League champions Chelsea.
Chelsea want Barcelona youngster
Recently, Don Balon linked the Barcelona youngster as a target for the Blues if the club were to lose Belgian Eden Hazard, and there’s no doubt Dembele has all it takes to be the kind of player required to fill Hazard’s boots at the West London club.
The 20-year-old French youngster only joined the Catalan side last summer transfer window in a big-money transfer as reported by BBC Sport, but has struggled heavily to make a good impression at Barcelona.
Injury setback for Dembele
Injuries have surely not aided the players cause at Nou Camp, but the latest story from Don Balon suggests the team is set to offload Dembele as he doesn’t fit into their style under manager Ernesto Valverde.
This is in spite the youngster looking like one of Europe’s most exciting attacking young talents during his time at German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
The Blues may want to note Dembele’s difficult situation with the Catalan side at the moment, although it looks like Atletico Madrid could be a possible destination for the youngster.
