Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned rivals Manchester United that his side are out to beat them to a second-position finish in the English Premier League this campaign.
Impressive run of result
Klopp’s team have been in good form recently and the German tactician was glad by his team’s display as they claimed a 4-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The win lifted the Reds up into the second spot in the League log and ahead of Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, who played Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United will have to beat the Blues if they want to return to the second place and it is crystal clear that there is a serious race on for a top-four end this term.
Reds want top-four finish
Talking on the 4-1 victory over West Ham, the manager added when he woke up in the morning he didn’t expect a match like that, it was a delight to watch for every football fan.
The Reds now have about a week off before their clash at Anfield against Newcastle United on Saturday next weekend.
The Merseyside giants are aiming to end the season in the top four once again this term after they finished in the fourth position on the log last season.
