Former Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is reported to be linked with a move to Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma as their technical director.

The Italian Serie A outfit parted ways with their sporting director Monchi as he is currently with the Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla after turning down a move to the North London outfit Arsenal.

It is claimed that has issued strong conditions to AS Roma before picking up the job as he is ready to avoid the bad experience he had with Arsenal as he had most of his ideas overruled by head of football Raul Sanllehi.

Suggestions are that he would be announced as soon as the club are ready to accept his conditions and will begin work ahead of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, North London outfit are in the search for a new technical director after their previous chief and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat departed the Emirates Stadium.

Efforts by the Gunners to secure a replacement for him has been proving difficult with Monchi, a former AS Roma sporting director dumping Arsenal to join Spanish La Liga outfit, Sevilla.

Former player Marc Overmars is also being linked but there are fears he would not be joining the North London outfit as he is still being wanted by his current side Ajax.
