Germany international Per Mertesacker insists that he’s sure that Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez and German Mesut Ozil are both highly committed to Arsenal.
The defender claims that just because Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are in the last year of their deals doesn’t make the duo any less committed than those not.
The attacking duo have so far refused to agree to a new Arsenal deals with the Emirates club and should leave for free next summer window.
Per said every player has to do his job 100% otherwise such players are not eligible to be on the field.
The German revealed he has no problems with players in their last contract year, that includes himself. The only issue is if they’re not 100% committed to what the team is doing.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are both being heavily linked with January transfer with the Chile international reportedly being the more likely of the duo to leave since there’s been no solid interest in the Germany playmaker.
Mesut Ozil came in for heavy criticism for his cameo display in Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Watford last weekend but the retiring Arsenal captain says both Superstars are focused on the North London club.
Premier League leaders Manchester City are allegedly prepared to pay £20million for the signature of the former Barcelona forward.
