Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has had a torrid time at the club since the turn of the year after he was targeted by the boo-boys for the Blues’ recent poor form.
The Italian international has been heavily criticised by the Chelsea fans for his role in the ‘Sarriball’ style adopted by Blues manager Maurizio Sarri.
Jorginho was able to answer those critics after his Man-of-the-Match display in the West London Derby clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening.
He scored what proved to be the winning goal as Chelsea recorded a 2-1 victory at Fulham.
Chelsea took an early lead through January signing Gonzalo Higuain before Arsenal loanee Calum Chambers scored a 27th-minute equaliser for the hosts.
Fulham were level for just four minutes before the aforementioned Jorginho curled in a second goal for Chelsea off an assist from Eden Hazard.
All the three goals came in the first half as Chelsea held on for an important win the race for a top-four finish at the end of this Premier League campaign.
Italian international player Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in the summer of 2018 after the Blues paid £57m to secure his transfer at the expense of Manchester City who were also interested in him.
