Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard joined an elite club after he reached a milestone during the Blues’ win over struggling Premier League side Fulham.
Chelsea saw off Fulham to record a second successive win in the league thereby boosting their bid for a top-four finish at the end of the season.
Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea won 2-1 courtesy first-half goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Jorginho while the lone Fulham strike from Arsenal loanee Calum Chambers was sandwiched in between the Chelsea goals.
Calum Chambers is on a season-long loan deal at struggling Fulham from North London giants Arsenal having joined them at the start of the current season.
After Chambers’ equaliser for Fulham in the 27th minute, Eden Hazard evaded the attention of several Fulham players before setting up Jorginho who scored the winning goal on 31 minutes.
Hazard produced his 50th Premier League assist to become only the third Chelsea player with 50 goals and 50 assists in the Premier League after Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
In addition, Eden Hazard has scored 81 Premier League goals since he joined the club from French club Lille in 2012.
Chelsea would be hoping they can keep him at the club beyond this summer despite the interest of Real Madrid.
He has less than 18 months left on his current deal with Chelsea.
