Jordi Alba hands hope to Arsenal after public statement

Arsenal’s long-term target Jordi Alba has handed hope to the North London club of a possible move in the nearest future.

The 29-year-old has been interesting Gunners boss Unai Emery for some years now but he has been held back by the fact that the player was not ready to leave the La Liga giants Barcelona and is contracted to them until 2020.

The situation seems to have changed for Jordi Alba at the Camp Nou and he is no longer sure of his future at the club which hands the North London club the opportunity to have the signature of their long-term target.

Also, it is reported that the La Liga outfit will be willing to let the player leave so as to cash in to be able to execute other transfer business as they hope to bring in fresher and younger players.

Jordi Alba will be an added advantage to the Gunners with his wealth of experience knowing that they are desperately in need of defenders who will be able to take over from Spanish star Nacho Monreal.

In a recent interview, Jordi Alba stated that he is unsure of his stay with Barcelona because he does not know if he is needed or not.
