Juventus to convince United star player to leave Old Trafford

Romelu Lukaku

Italian Serie A champions Juventus are looking convinced that they will not succeed in their bid to have French midfielder Paul Pogba return back to Turin in the January window which makes them make another move to snap up Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.

Latest reports in Italy claim that the Serie A champions want the former Everton striker as a direct replacement for Mario Mandzukic who is close to the exit door of the Old Lady.

Mario Mandzukic has scored 8 times this season for the Old Lady who are eight points clear at the top of the Serie A but Juventus will want Lukaku despite his poor performance at the Old Trafford.

The Belgium international has failed to score in a number of games for United which leave him out of the starting XI at most times but that is no issue for the Italian side.

However, suggestions are that United will not hesitate to cash in on Romelu Lukaku noting that he has failed to deliver goals for the club but the Old Lady will be taking a big risk with the form of the striker.

Meanwhile, United are struggling to break into the top four of the league after parting ways with former manager Jose Mourinho.
