Following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie Redknapp has hailed the blues strength in depth, pointing out that the west London club are is lucky to have the duo of Cesc Fabregas and Willian in the squad.
Goals from the trio of Pedro Rodriguez, Gary Cahill, and Samba star Willian, gave Chelsea the full three points in the premier league encounter away from home.
And even though Chelsea’s closest title challengers Tottenham Hotspur won London rivals Arsenal 2-0 in yesterday’s London derby at White Hart Lane, Antonio Conte’s side maintain their four point lead at the top of the premier league table, with just four matches to go before the season wrap up in the English top flight.
During the game at Goodison Park, with less than ten minutes to go before full time, Chelsea’s Italian manager Antonio Conte brought in both Cesc Fabregas and Willian when the score was still 2-0 in favour of the premier league leaders.
Both of them made good use of the remaining time. Willian scored the third goal for Chelsea, while Fabregas gave some superb passes – including the assist that gave Willian the goal.
And Jamie, speaking to the Daily Mail, states that Chelsea’s manager is pretty lucky to have those kind of options – in the duo of Fabregas and Willian, waiting in the wings
