24-year-old star set to snub Chelsea, makes Liverpool his first choice.

Stoke 24-year-old goalkeeper Jack Butland is ready to favour a transfer switch to Liverpool over Chelsea next year.

The gifted goalkeeper has been sighted as the number one possible replacement for Thibaut Courtois after he was linked with a transfer move to Real Madrid.

But, The Sun made it known that Butland will prefer joining Liverpool where he would be needed the most.

It was also revealed that Stoke City will demand a fee more than £30million for the shot-stopper, but he would not be Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper should they opt to replace him with Mignolet or Loris Karius at Anfield.

As you reckon, Thibaut Courtois as refused to sign a new contract until the end of the season, sparking rumours he is waiting to see what Real Madrid will offer – He wants to earn the same weekly salary with David De Gea, who currently earns £200,000-a-week.

Chelsea have capable youngers on loan, the likes of Jamal Blackman, Bradley Collins and Nathan Baxter could be recalled to Stamford Bridge should Courtois refuse to sign a new deal, While Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero is currently the number two at Chelsea.

Butland’s goalkeeping experience would give him an edge to replace Courtois over others, but they would have to wait until the summer to find out what plans the highly rated goalkeeper has regarding his contract extension.
