Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of winger, Ivan Perisic following the comments of Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti.
The Croatian winger has made the headlines in recent weeks due to speculation over his future at the San Siro, as United vie for his signature.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on signing Perisic after meeting up with his agent during an international break in March, sparking transfer speculation from several outlets.
It is also understood that the winger is open to a move to the Old Trafford but the Italian giants are holding out for an astronomical figure before allowing the player leave the club despite serious interest from Manchester United who have reportedly made failed bids on two occasions.
However, Spalletti in his latest interview about the future of Ivan Perisic at the San Siro, said that the club will not stand in the way of the player since it is clear he wants out of Milan.
“For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him,” Spalletti said.
“He’s strong, he’s a player I want to keep with me, but then we must consider the opinion of the club and the player.”
There are suggestions that Inter have asked United to include Anthony Martial in Perisic’s deal before a transfer move could materialise.
