Chelsea‘s next Premier League opponent Manchester United could have back some key players ahead of Sunday’s big League game at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League Champions go into the match sitting four points behind United and on the back of a 3-0 UEFA Champions League loss against AS Roma on Tuesday night.
So manager Antonio Conte will be keen on seeing his boys respond this weekend at the Bridge against a Manchester United team who saw off Tottenham Hotspur last time out in the League.
That win against London club Spurs was achieved without some prominent stars and Jose Mourinho’s injury woes mounted on Tuesday when Lingard was substituted at half-time in the UEFA Champions League victory over Portuguese side Benfica.
England international Michael Carrick has also trained away from the first-team this week, coming as a major boost.
But as per the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United could have back injured players in time for their clash to West London,
France international Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United’s Carrington training base last week after spending part of his recuperation from a hamstring problem in Miami, Florida.
The midfielder has not featured since the UEFA Champions League victory against FC Basel back in September.
Sunday’s match will see Jose Mourinho return to the Bridge for the second time as United boss, Last term he suffered a 4-0 loss on his first return.
