Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard has been told that he can leave the club amidst strong transfer interest from Champions League holders Real Madrid.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said that the ex-Lille star is free to leave the club if he wants to.
The Italian tactician spoke about Eden Hazard in his latest interview monitored by Sky Sports.
Sarri further stated that age is no longer on the side of Eden Hazard who celebrated his 28th birthday earlier this month.
The latest development would accelerate transfer rumours linking the Belgian international player with a move away from the club.
Eden Hazard has been heavily touted as a possible signing for Spanish La Liga giants since last summer when he emerged as one of the best players at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He was in inspired form as he helped Belgium to a third-place finish at the tournament won by France.
It was the Red Devils’ best result in the history of the World Cup.
Real Madrid are still searching for a long-term replacement for former club favourite Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard could be the answer.
Cristiano Ronaldo left the Los Merengues for Italian side Juventus at the start of the season.
