The latest report from Spain hints that English Premier League outfit Manchester United and Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona could still strike deals before the Thursday winter transfer deadline.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho who only arrived Barcelona about a year ago and already unsettled as a result of his lack of playing time.
It is reported that the Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is already giving up on the hope of keeping the former Liverpool man which makes him settle for a bargain that will have Spanish star Juan Mata switch over the Camp Nou.
The Spanish giants are understood to be considering the bargain as they wish to secure a replacement for the Brazilian international playmaker whose future at the club is unclear.
With Juan Mata also interested in Juan Mata, whose contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season, both sides could be satisfied with the swap deal.
It is claimed by a Mundo Deportivo report that Juan Mata’s agent has already flown to Barcelona where he will hold talks of a possible deal for his client’s arrival as well as negotiate personal terms for the potential deal.
